Boys 1st XI Cricket Visit

On Wednesday 9th July 2025, nine Old Wymondhamians attended the College to watch the Boys 1st XI Cricket team take on an MCC side made up of young East Anglian cricketing 'talent'

Those in attendance were:

Phil Robinson, Steve Read, Andrew Ramsay, Robin Postle, Alan Wright, Tim Mace, Adrian Smith, John Watson, Ken Seaman

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and the College PE and catering deparments made us very welcome and well fed.

Sadly the result was not in the College's favour as they struggled to match the MCC target of 219, only managing 125 all out in reply.

Below are a few photos of the day which also shows the relatively new clubhouse (which is the 2nd replacement for the one that burnt down in Sepotember 1972 (!) as well as the new scoreboard.

The Autumn rugby fixture list will be with us soon and we hope to be able to arrange another visit to watch the 1st XV in action.
